Daily Sunwatch is an automated solar and space-weather project used to publish observations, updates, and related content to DailySunwatch.com and Daily Sunwatch social media accounts.

Sunny is an original character and visual identity of Daily Sunwatch, with a lighthearted personality used throughout the project and its software.

Daily Sunwatch does not sell personal information. Information from Facebook or Instagram users is not collected or stored by Daily Sunwatch.

The application uses Meta's services only as necessary to publish and manage content on Daily Sunwatch social media accounts.

DailySunwatch.com offers optional Google Sign-In for interactive features such as Likes and Saved Posts. Authentication is provided through Firebase Authentication. When a user signs in, basic Google account information such as the user's display name, email address, profile image, and a Firebase user identifier may be used to identify and display the signed-in account.

Likes and Saved Posts are stored using Google Cloud Firestore and associated with the signed-in user's account. Likes contribute to the public Like count shown on an observation, but the identity and personal account information of the user who Liked an observation are not displayed publicly. Saved Posts are private to the signed-in user.

Signed-in users may delete their Daily Sunwatch account using the Delete Account option. Account deletion removes the user's Daily Sunwatch authentication account and associated Saved Posts and Likes. Deleting a Daily Sunwatch account does not delete or modify the user's Google account. If the user later signs in with Google again, a new Daily Sunwatch account may be created.

Google and Firebase may process information in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

Daily Sunwatch retrieves solar and space-weather information from publicly available sources, including the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center and NASA.

Daily Sunwatch uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by the user's consent choices. Users can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Daily Sunwatch uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general website traffic and usage. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide privacy-focused analytics without using cookies or tracking individual users across websites.
